Scuba Diving & Snorkelling
The Bunaken Marine Park facing Cocotinos is a haven for snorkelers and divers. The park includes the islands of Bunaken, Siladen, Manado Tua, Montehage and Nain, covering an area of over 75,000 hectares, and is world famous for its rich and diverse marine life, and pristine coral growth.
Underwater photographers from all over the world have been astounded by the steep walls around Manado Tua - abundant with coral growth -and the black sands of Lembeh Straits which houses some of the most unusual creatures to be found under the sea. However, there are also numerous sites around Siladen and Bunaken, as well as Wori Bay (on the mainland), which feature shallow reef tops that are extensively covered by stony and soft corals and teeming with fish life, which are easily accessible by the average divers.
On a clear day, you can see up to 30m which makes snorkeling and diving an absolute bliss. With over 3500 species of fish recorded in Indonesian waters by ichthyologists, it is little wonder many divers return to dive in the clear and calm waters of North Sulawesi.
When you stay at Cocotinos Manado, you literally have some of the "richest reefs" at your doorstep. At Cocotinos, we strive to provide the best possible service above and below water. Visit the Odyssea Divers website for more information on our diving and snorkelling services and facilities.
